Reverence - Integrity - Compassion - Excellence — These words describe the essence of Saint Joseph and Flaget, which has been under the auspices of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth since 1877. From that time to this, this philosophy remains the cornerstone of patient care at Saint Joseph, a member of Catholic Health Initiatives, one of the nation's largest Catholic, not-for-profit health care organizations. Every employee, physician, and volunteer at our facilities continues the legacy of caring and working together to serve the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of the community.
The future of Saint Joseph and Flaget can be found in its past and in its commitment to improving the health of the citizens of Central and Eastern Kentucky. Saint Joseph is currently striving to meet the changing health care needs of the various communities in these regions in new and innovative ways. Current programs include promoting wellness in addition to treating illnesses, delivering health care in settings outside the hospital, and providing patients with a continuum of care for all the health care needs that arise throughout a person's lifetime.
