The mission of the Saint Joseph Volunteer Guild is to enhance communication in a manner that reflects Saint Joseph Health System's values of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence. The Volunteer Guild is a vital part of the hospital's mission of caring. The Guild furthers this mission by:
Assisting personnel, patients, and their families on a volunteer basis in many areas of the hospital and the community. Volunteers have contributed thousands of hours of their time and talents to the hospital since 1954.
Educating its members about the hospital and health care issues.
Raising funds for hospital needs through the Gift Shops and other fund raising activities in cooperation with the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation. Saint Joseph volunteers have raised over $2 million for the hospital since 1954.
Sponsoring social activities, which allow volunteers to get to know each other.
