Man to Man / Side by Side

The American Cancer Society's Man to Man program helps men and their families cope with prostate cancer. Man to Man provides a comfortable setting among peers for discussion, education, and support through the recovery process.

What does Man to Man offer?

• Group education and support - Man to Man is a forum for men to learn about prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment options - as well as coping and everyday living - through interactive presentations and materials. Specialists in various fields related to prostate cancer share information on medical topics and quality of life issues. A comfortable and confidential meeting environment encourages men and their families to discuss their concerns openly and honestly and to share solutions to common problems.
• Personal visits and telephone support - One-on-one patent support from specially trained prostate cancer survivors.
• Man to Man newsletter - News and information about prostate cancer, including research and treatment, messages from men living with prostate cancer, and Man to Man activities.
• Cancer.org - Designed to create awareness of prostate cancer issues, provide answers, and offer links to more specific information about detection, treatment, and coping.

• Public awareness activities - Promoting greater public understanding of prostate cancer, particularly the importance of early detection and treatment.

The group meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30pm
