After Hours Emergencies

A doctor is on call after office hours, during weekends, and on holidays. We ask that you limit these calls to emergencies or serious illnesses. Call Saint Joseph Berea at 859.986.3151 to reach the doctor on call. Please note, medications will not be refilled by the on-call doctor. For severe situations, go immediately to the nearest Emergency Room and have your doctor contacted!

Prescription Refills

For medication refill requests, please contact your pharmacy to take full advantage of the electronic connectivity between the pharmacy and our practice. Refill requests generally take up to 24 hours. For 90-day mail order prescription refills only, you may call our office and leave a voicemail for your physician's nurse. Please be prepared to give the following information:

• Patient's Name
• Patient's Date of Birth
• Phone Number
• Medication (and spelling)
• Dosage
• How Taken
• Pharmacy Used

Mail order prescriptions will be mailed to the patient's home address. Refills are processed within 24 hours of the request. Call your pharmacy directly to check on the status of the medication refills.

Medical Records

The relationship between the doctor and patient is confidential and any information exchanged will be held in the strictest of confidence. Confidential medical information will be released only with the express consent and authorization of the patient. Medical Record requests generally take up to one week to process.

Appointment Cancellations

In order to ensure needed medical care and appropriate follow up, it is important to keep any scheduled appointment with your provider. When an appointment time is reserved for you, this time is then unavailable for other patient. Preferably 24 hours advanced notice is required when it is necessary to reschedule your appointment.

Financial Obligations

Each patient is responsible for paying their copay(s) at their time of visit. All past balances will need to be either paid or arrangements made with a Saint Joseph Berea Family billing representative before they are seen by a physician.

Insurance

We accept all major insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid. If you have any questions as to whether we accept your insurance, call the phone number on the back of your insurance card.
